Perin has a background in government relations and issues management. Most recently Perin has specialised in water policy including the Murray Darling Basin Plan and water market and water trade rules.
A former country journalist and media adviser to a Federal Senator, Perin has also worked in Canberra with an international government relations consultancy firm. She has worked with a wide range of clients on issues as diverse as single desk wheat marketing, food and drug approvals and copyright.
Perin has a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland and is a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is currently Chair of Outback Theatre for Young People and is a former Director of NSW Irrigators' Council.
